Good solution for long layover in transit at Narita airport ーSmall tour around the airport

How do you spend your time for a layover in transit at the airport? Do your gaming apps with your iphone? Read books? Or take a nap? However the longer time you should be waiting, the more tired of what you're doing you are and the more difficult it is for you to find what you should do. So I mean waiting for several hours is an unwelcome burden for travelers at any airports.

The Narita Transit Program offers tourists who have plenty of layover time before flying out of Japan a short time tour to get a taste of the country's history and culture in the area around the airport.

Transit passengers at Narita Airport can apply for the tour at a reception desk in the arrival lobby of Terminals 1 and 2. Advanced reservation also available.

This tour has been planned by the transit traveler's prmotion council composed of self‐governing bodies around Narita airport and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. 3 selectable courses to go touring around the airport with volunteer guides and 2 selectable courses to go shopping in commercial facilities without guides are prepared.

Volunteer tour guides accompany visitors to sightseeing venue the airport such as Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. Visitors can also choose self-guided tour to go shopping at malls near the airport.

You can apply to the touring course lasting up to 3 hours at most. According to the transit traveler's promotion council, no official limit for numbers of group is set so feel free to apply to this tour.
