According to the company, the number of registrations of rooms in Japan has rapidly increased threefold this year. In this August, 13 thousand rooms are registered. This Japanese man who rent his house to a french family made a contract with a number of property owners who own rental apartments or houses for renting rooms temporarily for visitors and registered these rooms on the website. He told that he sometimes could earn more than 4 million yen a month. He surprised "I've never imagined such popularity. This is terribly unexpected big additional income."

He hasn't got an official concession which is regulated by Hotel and Ryokan Management Law. He said "this is voluntary contract between host and guest. Why do I need to get an official concession? "

According to the profit list of service agency, if renting Mintpaku an apartment located in Shibuya which costs 127,000 yen per month in rent (30㎡) , the apartment owner expect sales of 360,000 yen per month. Handling charge for service agency is 140,000 yen so when subtracting handling charge from total sales, the profit host can receive is going to be 220,000 yen. This kind of rental apartment business for foreign visitor is gathering people's attention as one of investment because owner is able to expect high profit. Managing director of a service agency said "I was asked by an investor to increase his capital up to 100 million yen through Airbnb. I turned down his offer after all because of lack of sufficient staff but I have a confidence to make high profit if everything is ready for investing perfectly. "

There are business men who chip in money for Airbnb business to register as host and a property owner who cancel selling condominium apartment all of sudden and start joining AIrbnb business. A salesman working in real estate agent said "this is not the time to rent apartment to Japanese. If possible, I want to register a whole building."
